January 6th, First Day of Class!

 Today was our first day of class! We were up and out of the hotel by 9:30 (For the most part). We rode the bus for the first time to school. Here is a photo from our first day in class at McDaniel College. 

We also saw a picture of former American President George Bush in the school. His second sighting this trip, surprisingly.

Class was a good introductory day. We learned the basics of writing proofs, and did some proofs on what makes a number even or odd. Interesting stuff! After class ended a lot of us explored the area around the school, and got lunch in the neighborhood. It was a nice break before our next activity. 

 

After our break we went to Buda Castle. The was a museum in the castle where we spent most of the afternoon. We learned a lot about the history of Budapest, and of the Castle itself. We also had a great view of the city from the balcony of the Castle. 

Emese did a great job showing us around today and we appreciate all of her hard work. After our tour we all split up, got dinner, and did some sight seeing. Hope that everyone has a great night. See you tomorrow!
