January 7th, Day Trip!

Today was a day trip to 3 towns outside of Budapest. Our first stop was in Nagymaros, a small town right on the river. We walked around for a while and stopped at a local bakery for some hot chocolate!

We then took a ferry across the river to the town on the other side, Visegrad. We then walked down to the Visegrad royal palace and walked about an hour through the castle and grounds. 

After we were done exploring the castle, we went to a renaissance themed restaurant for lunch.

Once we were done eating, we left for our final location for the day, Szentendre. We walked through the the streets as it got dark and we finished by visiting a local chocolate shop.

Finally, we headed back to the hotel to finish up some homework for tomorrow and get some rest. It was another great day!
