Professor Berliner, Michael, Quinn, Mer, Uvin, Will, and Grace stayed back in Budapest while the rest of the crew was traveling. Will is writing this blog because Will's little brother Lukas visited from Scotland for the free weekend! Grace and Will introduced Lukas to the sights we've been seeing these last few weeks.

We set out to explore the city! |
We walked along the river! |
We revisited the Basilica! |
We saw the statue of Ronald Reagan! |
We ate a lovely Hungarian lunch! If you happen to be near the basilica, highly recommend walking up and down October 6th ut., it has many cute spots to eat.

The Dohany Street Synagogue |
| This tree sculpture commemorates the at least 400,000 Hungarian Jews murdered by the Nazis and their Hungarian collaborators during World War II. The memorials and museums at the synagogue complex are well worth the ticket price and offer a chance for education and thoughtful reflection. We strongly recommend visiting the synagogue before the tour is over.

We popped over to the Buda side to see the castle and the Matyas church at night. We found a little gastropub for dinner and noticed that it really is more posh on the Buda side. And when they say goat cheese burger, they really mean goat cheese burger. |
One last sight before heading back to the hotel. Highly recommend the views from the Buda side at night.
And we couldn't resist a quick sauna before going to bed!

Shoutout Grace for taking all these photos of Will and Lukas. Sorry you're only in one of them and it's not even your face.
