The Midterm.
Hello once again from Budapest (it's not like we're going anywhere [foreshadowing]). I woke up this morning and checked the time, an hour before my alarm. However, this was no ordinary Wednesday. The Midterm Exam was upon us. I had my usual breakfast of bacon and pancakes, then spent my remaining morning time studying. Unfortunately, Graham was too sick to take the midterm today, so hopefully he'll feel better enough to take it tomorrow. We're all rooting for you, Graham!
Now, you'll have to live without pictures from the morning because I may have forgotten to take any. Moving on, I completed my daily commute and settled into the classroom. We were all frantically reviewing our notes up to the last possible second. The saving grace of the midterm is that we were allowed half of a sheet of paper to bring in as "exam notes."
After the exam, we all went our separate ways for lunch. I got some delicious pad thai from a small place near the school (not pictured), and Dylan got a chicken-jalapeño grilled cheese. (By process of elimination, you can deduce that Michael is writing this particular blog post.)

That's not the end of our time at the school, however. In the afternoon, we reconvened for our first guest lecture: Hungarian music. We learned many interesting things about the history of Hungarian music. For example, Béla Bartók collected and preserved many of Hungary's folk traditions. Neat! Also, Liszt is epic and amazing. You should listen to his entire collection of Hungarian Rhapsodies. All 19 of them. I'm serious.
