Tired Tuesday

Fun Fact: Today is Tuesday the 23rd. We had class bright'n'early at 10 this morning, and learned about phi(n) and Euler's Theorem, which is super helper in dividing large numbers.

Fun Fact: Did you know that there are 25,144,488,176 numbers that are both smaller than and relatively prime to 62,337,401,728. And that only took us 5 minutes of class to calculate, pretty cool if you ask me!

Fun Fact: After class, a few of us stopped at the legendary (to us) Hoang Anh Restaurant (Vietnamese food!!), where we had delicious soup, spring rolls, steam dumplings, fried noodles, and much laughter (maybe too much).

"Vietnamese coffee is the best coffee" ~ Sarah

Fun Fact: The afternoon brought a lecture from Andras Nagy, a very well-connected professor who actively conducts research on Kierkegaard's works, and has been to St Olaf multiple times. He gave an interesting and detailed history of Hungary's political situation. Moral of the story: communism=bad, fascism=bad, middle ground=good.

Fun Fact: After class George and Sarah went to some thermal baths on the Buda side for a few hours. While George practiced water-bending, Henry got a head-start on the nightly homework (the grind never stops). We all grabbed a quick dinner and continued our studies, pausing to update y'all ;)

Fun Fact: Math proofs are hard.

nighty night from room 652! (jk we're finishing homework)
